Live Window Display at PaperBag Princess, K'rd.
First Thursdays is an annual event that takes place the on the first thursday of the month along Auckland's Karangahape Rd. In honor of the festivities Paperbag Princess (a local secondhand clothing store) decided to host something special and requested my services to create a one off window display.
This display coincided with a raffle that enlisted the help of local businesses to donate goods and services in order to raise money for the NZPC, and it was here that the concept for using live models rather than doing a standard display was born.
I wanted to play with the idea of red light districts and the "window boxes" of Amsterdam and in the spirit of keeping things light I combined this with the theme of the First thursdays event which was "fiesta"and so characters for each window were created and the performances mirrored each other.
